Monday Muttering's

“Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.”--Peter F. Drucker

Those who know me, know that I'm a very strong willed person. Once I get an idea in my head it's very hard to stop me from getting to what I want and I'm very let down if I don't achieve it. It sounds like a bit of a 'spoiled brat' mentality, I know.

There are times, however, that I tend to stand in my own way. In recent weeks I've managed to put a giant roadblock right in front of myself. I've become complacent in my job, complacent in my heath and complacent in my life.

That is not to say that I do not live a charmed life! The last thing anyone needs to hear is another white American complaining about how they're unhappy with their life. It's not like I have to commute on the Gaza strip to work each day, or walk 5 miles to get dirty drinking water. However, as an American, it's my civil duty to strive for more!

So here I am. It's spring. Time for more f**king change. No more complacency. My needs are simple: a career that does not make me want to self harm, a healthy body and chocolate that has zero fat and calories but still tastes delicious. I know I can achieve the first two, and hopefully science is working on the last one.

  2. On the Today Show, Anne and Matt introduced the world to chocolate in an inhaler. It's inhaled food (called Le Whif) that leaves you with the taste but no calories: http://www.lewhif.com/. It's not exactly the same, I'm sure, but it's a start. :)
